Mark Consuelos was joined by Kevin Jonas on Monday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, as co-host Kelly Ripa was absent due to gum graft surgery. Jonas and Consuelos entered the studio to the Jonas Brothers’ 2007 hit, “S.O.S.”
Consuelos explained Ripa’s absence, stating that her dentist had recommended the procedure about five years prior. He shared that Ripa is “doing well” but is under doctor’s orders not to speak. Consuelos also detailed some of the recovery instructions, which include eating soft foods and refraining from using a straw or pulling down her lip to examine the surgical site.
Despite the procedure being described as “painful,” Consuelos noted that Ripa “famously doesn’t feel pain.” Jonas shared that his wife, Danielle Jonas, also possesses a high pain tolerance, drawing a parallel between their partners' ability to endure discomfort.
