Veteran quarterback Case Keenum played a pivotal role in the Chicago Bears' 27-7 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, stepping in for the absent Caleb Williams. Keenum, who began the season as the team's third-string quarterback, executed a near-flawless performance, completing 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding a rushing score.

The win marked a significant achievement for Keenum, who became the seventh NFL quarterback to start and win games with seven different franchises, joining Ryan Fitzpatrick. His previous teams include the Texans, Rams, Vikings, Broncos, Commanders, and Browns.

The Bears' defense also contributed to the victory with three takeaways, limiting an Eagles offense that entered the game undefeated. Philadelphia struggled offensively, with quarterback Jalen Hurts throwing for only 153 yards and Saquon Barkley failing to reach the end zone for the third consecutive game. The Eagles managed just seven points against a Bears defense that had conceded 37 points to Carolina two weeks prior.

Both teams experienced difficulties near the goal line during the game. The Bears were stopped inside the 1-yard line on one drive, and the Eagles stalled on multiple occasions, including a possession where Hurts was briefly removed from the game for concussion protocol. Despite these struggles, Keenum's one-yard touchdown sneak in the second half extended the Bears' lead to 27-7.

With the loss, the Eagles fell into a tie with the New York Giants in the NFC East standings. The Bears, now 2-1, remain at home to face the Jets before a Week 5 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
