Actress Katie Holmes, 47, brought her boyfriend Jason Bard Yarmosky, 38, to designer Michael Kors's 45th anniversary dinner in East Hampton, New York, on Thursday night. The couple, who went Instagram official last week, appeared affectionate as Yarmosky mingled with Holmes's friends, including Naomi Watts and Christie Brinkley.
Holmes wore a royal purple, ankle-length, draped dress, complemented by red heels and a cream clutch. Yarmosky was dressed in an all-black ensemble. The pair posed for photos, some of which were shared on Kors's Instagram account and reposted by Holmes.
The appearance marks a public step in their relationship, which became public knowledge a few weeks prior. Holmes and Yarmosky attended a Ferragamo pop-up event in Bridgehampton, New York, about three weeks before the Kors dinner, where they were seen in coordinating navy blue outfits. When asked about their matching attire, Holmes told Elle magazine that they "just have similar taste."
Earlier in July, the couple reportedly attended the premiere of "The Invite" in East Hampton, arriving hand in hand. An eyewitness told People that Yarmosky was seen whispering to Holmes, who was laughing, adding that "they seemed very easy together and there was a smile on her face all night."
Holmes met Yarmosky in June at a Tribeca Festival dinner in New York City. Yarmosky is an artist whose work explores themes of aging, time, and memory, according to his website. He is a New York native and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts. Holmes was previously linked to musician Bobby Wooten III, chef Emilio Vitolo Jr., and actor Jamie Foxx. She has a daughter, Suri Cruise, with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.
