Kai Trump provided an update on her mother, Vanessa Trump, who is continuing to battle breast cancer and recently underwent surgery.
"My mom’s doing good. She’s doing better," Kai Trump, 19, told Page Six exclusively on Wednesday at the 2026 ESPY Awards held at Lincoln Center in New York City.
Vanessa Trump, 48, announced her breast cancer diagnosis in May via an Instagram post. "While this isn’t the news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan," she wrote at the time. "I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me."
In the following weeks, Vanessa Trump shared that she had undergone surgery and was in recovery. "Over the past four weeks, I’ve been recovering from surgery, and I’m grateful to be healing and moving forward," she stated. "Soon, I’ll be starting the second stage of my treatment."
Vanessa Trump, a former model, was previously married to Donald Trump Jr., with whom she shares five children, including Kai. Her boyfriend, Tiger Woods, whom she began dating in early 2025, is reportedly focused on supporting her through her treatment.
"He’s proud of how positive she’s stayed and how she’s handling everything so far," a source told Page Six. "She’s been so strong and he truly believes she’s going to be OK. He’s just trying to support her however he can right now."
