A JetBlue Airways flight collided with a drone while approaching New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on the morning of June 29, 2026. The incident occurred around 7:15 a.m. at an altitude of approximately 3,000 feet as the plane prepared for landing.

The pilot of the JetBlue aircraft reported the collision to air traffic control, stating, "We collided with a drone back there in the turn as we were coming to ASALT." The drone reportedly struck the plane near the cockpit.

Despite the impact, the pilot informed controllers that the aircraft did not require assistance and was able to continue its approach and land safely at JFK.
