The CBS franchise "NCIS" is expanding with a new New York-based spin-off, "NCIS: New York." The series will feature Jennifer Beals and Shane Harper among its cast.
"NCIS: New York" is a direct spin-off of "NCIS: Los Angeles," following NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna, reprised by LL Cool J, as he returns to his hometown. Scott Caan joins the cast as NCIS Special Agent Nick Schaeffer. The pilot was written by R. Scott Gemmill, who previously worked on "NCIS: Los Angeles" and created the HBO Max drama "The Pitt."
Jennifer Beals is set to play Robyn Wells, the Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the NCIS New York field office. Her character is described as someone who "leads with her intuition and is widely respected by her team." This marks Beals' first lead TV role since "The L Word: Generation Q."
Shane Harper will portray NCIS Special Agent Wyatt Hill. Other cast members include Jacqueline Byers as NCIS Special Agent Addison "Addy" Ross, described as a "rock-solid, tough and resourceful agent with something to prove," and Devin Druid as NCIS Tech Specialist Sean Sullivan.
"NCIS: New York" is scheduled to premiere this fall on the CBS Television Network, airing Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Streaming will be available on Paramount+.
