Jai Brooks, an Australian internet personality known for his role in the early 2010s YouTube group The Janoskians and a past relationship with pop star Ariana Grande, has been accused of scamming customers who commissioned his artwork. An anonymous TikTok account, "Exposing Jai Brooks," has published screenshots alleging that Brooks accepted payment for custom paintings but did not deliver the finished pieces.

The accusations detail several instances where customers claim to have paid for commissioned pet portraits, including a dog portrait for which one customer reportedly paid $200. According to screenshots shared by the TikTok account, this customer first contacted Brooks in September 2024, agreed to the price, and sent a photograph of their dog. After nearly two months without an update, the customer inquired about the status of the painting. Subsequent follow-ups over several months reportedly led to Brooks claiming the work was finished, but he allegedly ceased responding when asked to provide a visual of the completed artwork. The customer eventually confronted Brooks, who denied scamming them and claimed to have lost their details, according to the shared exchanges.

A second customer also alleged they paid Brooks $200 plus $20 for delivery for a commissioned dog portrait in October 2024. After initial delays and reassurances from Brooks that the commission was being worked on and would be completed by a specific week in early 2025, the customer reported that Brooks stopped responding by April 2025. This customer claims they waited for over a year without receiving the artwork or a refund.

Another customer reportedly commissioned a pet portrait in October 2024 and received a photograph of the completed work the following month. However, they claim Brooks never shipped the painting. Over the next six months, this customer allegedly attempted to contact Brooks for delivery, even providing a new address after moving. According to the account, Brooks' responses became infrequent, and the customer eventually expressed dissatisfaction with the portrait, noting it was "not great." Brooks reportedly responded by blocking the customer and stating he would send the artwork that week.

The anonymous TikTok account has published these and other alleged exchanges, indicating multiple customers have come forward with similar complaints. Brooks first gained prominence as part of The Janoskians, a group known for prank videos that garnered a large international following. His public profile was further elevated by his on-off relationship with Ariana Grande between 2012 and 2014.
