A 15-year-old boy has been sentenced to 100 years in prison in Indiana for his role in a 2025 gang-related shooting that resulted in the death of one woman and injuries to two others. Jo'Majze Larry of Anderson, Indiana, received his sentence on Wednesday from Judge David Happe of the Circuit Court of Madison County.

Larry was one of four members of the Mickey Cobra Nation (MCN) gang charged with murder in the killing of 26-year-old Dayla Swain. Prosecutors stated Swain was shot outside a nightclub in Anderson on Feb. 2, 2025. She was reportedly targeted during a botched attempt to kill a witness to another homicide.

Larry and a co-defendant, 19-year-old Rashawn Samuels, were convicted by a jury on June 30, according to the Madison County District Attorney's Office. Samuels was sentenced on Thursday to 125 years in prison. Both men admitted to an enhancement charge for being part of a criminal organization following their convictions.

Judge Happe imposed a 50-year sentence for Swain's murder on Larry, with an additional 50 years for the gang enhancement. Samuels received a sentence of 62 and a half years for the murder and another 62 and a half years for the criminal organization enhancement.

Indiana law allows individuals under 18 at the time of the offense to seek a judicial review of their sentence after serving at least 20 years, without prosecutorial consent. Larry is eligible for such a review.

The district attorney's office stated that Swain's death was linked to a plan to eliminate a witness to the 2023 murder of 15-year-old Jullian Craig, who was killed during an attempted armed robbery. Donavan Harris, 20, was convicted in June of Craig's murder. Prosecutors allege that following Craig's homicide, Larry and Samuels conspired with other gang members to target a witness.

During the Feb. 2, 2025, incident outside Sonny Ray's nightclub, Swain was killed, and another woman was injured by gunfire. A third person sustained injuries when struck by a car fleeing the scene.

In a separate trial earlier this year, 19-year-old Kyree Craver was convicted of Swain's murder and sentenced by Judge Happe to 90 years in prison. A fourth defendant in the case is scheduled to go to trial later this year. Larry and Samuels were also convicted of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder charges.
