Newly released audio captures the desperate moments of a husband discovering his wife, 35-year-old psychotherapist Brooke Haggerty Hanlon, stabbed to death in their Chester Township, New Jersey, home on June 6. The 911 call from Conor Hanlon, 36, reveals his frantic state as he found his wife and new mother unresponsive.

"I just found my wife!

She's not breathing or conscious," Hanlon is heard screaming on the recording. "What the fk, what the fk! I need CPR. Oh my God there's a laceration in there!"

At times, the audio indicates Hanlon's distress made his words difficult to understand. He repeatedly pleaded for immediate help, stating, "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God I need help immediately!…I need an ambulance! I don't know what to do, what the f**k."

The 911 operator guided Hanlon through chest compressions, and he responded, "I got this, I got this, come on Brooke." During the resuscitation attempt, he again spoke of the stab wounds, expressing confusion and grief until first responders arrived. "I found her," he told them before the call concluded.

Brooke Haggerty Hanlon, daughter of a prominent attorney, was found in the couple's Pottersville Road home. The couple had relocated to Chester, Brooke's hometown, approximately two years prior, having met in Conor Hanlon's native Boston. They shared a young daughter, Avery.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office has provided limited information regarding the investigation. Conor Hanlon has not been publicly visible since his wife's death. Brooke's parents are reportedly caring for Avery.

Reports indicate Conor Hanlon's white Volvo was observed in Boston, his hometown, amidst unconfirmed rumors that he has retained legal counsel. An aunt of Conor Hanlon, speaking anonymously, asserted his innocence, stating he was not involved in the incident and had been cooperating with police without arrest.

"He had nothing to do with it," the aunt told the Daily Mail. "They were a wonderful couple. I absolutely adored Brooke. There were no signs of tension between them. Nothing like domestic violence."

She suggested other possibilities, such as investigating Brooke's patients. Members of Conor Hanlon's extended family have declined to comment on the situation.

Residents of Chester have expressed concern and confusion as detectives have continued to investigate the case weeks after Haggerty's death. Neighbors reported texting Conor Hanlon after seeing an increased police presence at the home on June 6, but did not receive a response. His vehicle, along with Brooke's, remained at the residence for several weeks before his Volvo was reportedly removed.

Brooke Hanlon, a licensed professional counselor and psychotherapist, specialized in working with children, adolescents, and families. She earned degrees from Wake Forest University and Northeastern University. Her professional profile on the LifeStance website was removed shortly after her death. A company spokesperson confirmed her passing and described her as a "beloved member" of their team.

The couple married in June 2021 and purchased their home two years ago.
