Chris Hansen, a former host of "Dateline NBC," is urging parents to proactively educate their children about the risks of online predators before allowing them internet access. Hansen stated on the "Hang Out With Sean Hannity" podcast that online predators are increasingly targeting teenagers, particularly boys, with sextortion scams.
Hansen detailed how predators groom and exploit young people online, often using deceptive tactics to gain trust and coerce victims into sharing explicit content. He emphasized that this education should be a parental responsibility, akin to teaching children about other dangers they might encounter. The goal, he explained, is to equip children with the knowledge to recognize and report predatory behavior, thereby protecting them from potential harm and exploitation.
