The final text messages exchanged between Allison Rahmani and her husband, Matt, reveal a tender moment shortly before she died after driving her SUV into their backyard pool. Allison Rahmani, 40, a Nassau County teacher and mother of four, was texting with her husband on August 21 when she is believed to have suffered a medical episode.

Matt Rahmani, 39, had texted his wife a photo of a prayer shawl bag she had handmade for him, expressing his gratitude. "I'm walking into God being like fire," he wrote, according to People. "I'm feeling so good."

Allison responded with "LOL," a brief exchange that her husband described as "so emblematic of our relationship." He stated it was their "last interaction."

Sources close to the family believe a medical episode caused Rahmani to lose control of her vehicle and drive into the pool. She managed to call for help but died en route to the hospital. Authorities have officially ruled her death a tragic accident.

Due to Orthodox Jewish traditions, which typically prohibit autopsies to preserve the body for burial, the exact circumstances surrounding Rahmani's death may remain undetermined. A relative explained outside the family's Hewlett home that Orthodox Jewish law mandates swift burials and generally forbids autopsies as they are considered a desecration of the body. Because there was no suspicion of foul play, there were no legal grounds for a court-ordered autopsy.

Matt Rahmani recounted that upon learning of the crash, he immediately said a prayer for his wife and children's safety and well-being. He now recites this prayer daily, noting he felt "conflicted" before saying it, only to learn shortly thereafter of his wife's passing.

Friends and family gathered for funeral services on August 22 at Boulevard-Riverside Chapels. Tragically, that same day was intended to be the start of a romantic Paris getaway for the couple. In the wake of the tragedy, the family has raised nearly $300,000 in her honor.
