Patrick Lynch, 42, died from multiple blunt force injuries, with his death ruled a suicide, according to officials. The confirmation came after authorities revealed that his two young children, James, 8, and Caroline, 6, died from blunt force injuries, which were ruled homicides.
The three were found deceased at the base of a five-story parking garage in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh, on Tuesday afternoon. First responders pronounced James dead at 4:35 p.m. and Caroline just one minute later.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Lynch's cause of death on Thursday.
