Harmeet Dhillon, the head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, is reportedly preparing to resign as soon as Thursday. Sources familiar with the matter told The Post that her departure follows a period of significant staff turnover within the division.

Dhillon, who has led the division since April 2025, has overseen key initiatives including probes into U.S. universities, hate crimes at places of worship, and election integrity efforts under the Trump administration. She previously described the situation as potentially "the biggest single personnel self-purge in DOJ history," noting that nearly 70% of the Civil Rights Division's workforce had left. Dhillon attributed these departures to disagreements with the administration or acceptance of exit incentives from the Department of Government Efficiency.

Representatives for the DOJ did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Dhillon also did not immediately respond to inquiries.
