A study by the Media Research Center (MRC), a conservative media watchdog group, found that ABC's "The View" hosted only one conservative guest in the period leading up to Election Day, while inviting 21 guests identified as liberal.

The study, which covered the period from September 8 through November 3, categorized guests based on their political leanings expressed during their appearances on the show. According to the MRC's methodology, individuals who did not discuss politics were excluded from this count, even if they had a history of expressing political views in other contexts.

Among the 21 liberal guests, the study identified four politicians: Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Senator Tillis, though a Republican, was counted among the liberal guests due to his appearance to discuss his anti-Trump book, "How to Lose Friends and Antagonize Presidents," which expressed critical views of the party leader.

Ted Cruz, Republican Senator from Texas, was cited as the sole conservative guest during this period. The show also featured numerous liberal celebrities, including actors Maisie Williams, Ethan Hawke, Michael Douglas, Billy Crystal, and Jamie Lee Curtis, among others.

Stephen A. Smith, a sports commentator, also appeared on the program to discuss a White House meeting with President Trump. His presence and critique of the president during the show were noted. Neil deGrasse Tyson was among the other guests included in the study's tally.

In total, "The View" hosted 56 guests between September 8 and November 3, according to the MRC. The study's findings echo previous analyses, including a 2025 report that found the show hosted 128 liberal guests and only two conservatives over the course of that year.

The program has faced scrutiny regarding its guest diversity and has been under an FCC investigation related to equal-time requirements for political candidates. ABC has defended "The View," asserting its status as a "bona fide news" program, a designation it has held for over two decades.

MRC President David Bozell criticized ABC's programming, stating that "The View" continues to present "pure Democratic propaganda" and that the network's political agenda is evident in its guest selection. Bozell called for the Federal Communications Commission to hold ABC accountable for its use of public airwaves for partisan purposes.

Despite the ongoing scrutiny, the show has continued to book guests. A Republican governor and other political figures are scheduled to appear in the near future. "The View" did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
