Doctors recounted their desperate attempts to save Lindsay Clancy's two young children on Friday, as the trial entered its second week. Clancy herself sobbed silently in court, wiping away tears as medical professionals testified about the injuries sustained by three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan.
Dr. Mark Joseph Tenerowicz described the bruises found on Dawson's leg and the ruptured blood vessels on his face on the night he was killed. Dr. Benjamin Kaufman, who treated Callan, stated that the infant's heart had stopped and he required bag ventilation upon his arrival at the hospital. Although Callan regained a heartbeat, he was unable to breathe on his own and never exhibited any brain function, according to Kaufman.
Lindsay Clancy's defense attorney indicated that prosecutors are expected to continue presenting testimony from doctors who provided lifesaving treatment to the children.
