Sean 'Diddy' Combs's prison release date has been moved up by three weeks, with his new projected exit from federal custody set for February 6, 2028. This latest adjustment follows his transfer from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania, according to TMZ.
Combs was previously slated for release on March 2, 2028. His release date has seen several shifts in recent months, with previous estimates including January 21, February 5, and February 20.
Last month, reports indicated that Combs had been moved to FCI Allenwood and was being held as a general population inmate. This transfer reportedly occurred after a prison altercation at FCI Fort Dix.
In 2025, a jury found Combs guilty of two counts of transporting prostitutes across state lines for the purpose of sex. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking. His sentence of four years and two months began in October 2025.
Prior to his transfer, Combs had reportedly been in solitary confinement at FCI Fort Dix. This followed claims of a prison brawl with Jamaican drug lord Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, who was allegedly upset by reports of Combs receiving 'VIP' treatment. The Federal Bureau of Prisons has denied that such a fight took place.
FCI Allenwood is a low-security facility housing approximately 1,044 inmates, a smaller population compared to FCI Fort Dix. Notable past inmates at FCI Allenwood include Martin Shkreli and Ippei Mizuhara, former translator for baseball player Shohei Ohtani. Current inmates include former U.S. Senator Bob Menendez.
Combs's spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, stated that if the information about his return to general population is accurate, they are pleased. He added that the safety and well-being of Combs are important, and they hope he can continue serving his sentence without disruption. The Federal Bureau of Prisons does not comment on individual inmate conditions for privacy, safety, and security reasons.
