A couple was discovered fatally shot in a Bronx apartment on Tuesday night in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide. Andrea Cantarini, 37, and her unidentified 38-year-old boyfriend were found deceased from gunshot wounds to their heads inside Cantarini’s apartment on Blackstone Avenue in Riverdale.
The New York Police Department responded to the scene around 9 p.m. after receiving a call from Cantarini’s father, who reported that her boyfriend was attempting to kill her, according to sources.
Authorities believe the boyfriend shot Cantarini before taking his own life. A firearm was recovered at the scene. The identity of the deceased boyfriend is being withheld pending family notification.
