Predictions for the final contestants of "Celebrity Traitors" have emerged with over two weeks remaining before the series concludes. Newsreader Dan Walker has put forth a theory suggesting that the show's editing process, which he was told runs in reverse order from the finale, points to comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Joanne McNally, along with actor Michael Sheen, as the likely finalists.
Walker shared his hypothesis on Instagram, explaining, "Someone told me last year that they edit Traitors in reverse order… so, they start with the final episode and then work back to the beginning." He added that based on airtime and the ongoing narrative, he believes these three individuals will be among the last standing. He noted that he would delete the post if his prediction proves incorrect.
These predictions come amidst reports of internal panic within the BBC regarding a leak about the show's outcome. Despite strict non-disclosure agreements signed by all participants, including one described by actor Ross Kemp as "longer than the Bayeux Tapestry," information about who has reached the final is said to have been disclosed by an associate of one of the contestants.
A source told The Sun that the leak has made the final lineup a subject of discussion at showbiz gatherings. The situation is further complicated by suggestions about which players are being given interviews around the time of the final. BBC executives are reportedly concerned that such information could spread to online gossip forums and social media, potentially spoiling the game for viewers.
While many participants have acknowledged the stringent NDAs, some have humorously confessed to not adhering to them. Joe Lycett, a "Faithful" on the show, admitted on Hits Radio Breakfast that despite being instructed not to reveal his participation, he told numerous people, including Uber drivers, by searching for "Traitors" in his WhatsApp messages. Similarly, Joanne McNally, also a "Faithful," confirmed on her podcast that she knows who wins the competition.
