Britney Spears drew attention from drivers on Thursday when she stood through the sunroof of a moving Mercedes SUV on the 101 Freeway near Studio City.

Witnesses reported Spears remained in the open sunroof for approximately two minutes, with her hair blowing in the wind as the vehicle traveled at about 45 mph. She was seen stretching her arms across the roof of the vehicle and throwing her head back. The pop star, who was wearing a plunging mini dress, was reportedly traveling from Thousand Oaks.

Following the freeway incident, Spears was observed laughing with the SUV's driver at a nearby gas station. The driver has recently been linked to the singer, with speculation suggesting a potential new romantic relationship.

The event occurred months after Spears resolved a driving under the influence (DUI) case stemming from a March 4 arrest. She pleaded to a reduced charge of reckless driving, commonly referred to as a 'wet reckless.' This plea agreement allowed her to avoid jail time. As part of the sentence, Spears received 12 months of probation, a $571 fine, and was required to complete 30 hours of DUI education classes.

The resolution of her DUI case came with specific conditions, including a prohibition from driving with any intoxicants in her system. She must also submit to chemical tests if requested by law enforcement and is restricted from using non-prescribed drugs or marijuana.

This incident follows a series of public outings that have garnered media attention. In the days prior to the freeway stunt, Spears was seen at a liquor store and a restaurant. At the restaurant, witnesses reportedly claimed she engaged in behaviors such as 'barking,' carrying a knife, and smoking a cigarette. A representative for Spears later stated that the knife was used to cut her burger and that the evening was misrepresented, describing it as a dinner with her assistant and bodyguard.

Earlier this year, Spears was filmed swerving on a highway on two separate occasions. Her social media activity, including topless photos, dance videos, and emotional posts, has also been a frequent subject of public discussion. She has previously claimed on Instagram that some of her belongings and cash were stolen, leading her to announce a plan to 'rebel' on social media.

These recent events add to a period of continued public scrutiny for the singer, following the termination of her 13-year conservatorship.
