Billy Baldwin has recounted a difficult working relationship with actress Sharon Stone during the filming of the 1993 erotic thriller "Sliver," stating he would not work with her again. Baldwin, 63, shared his experiences on the Lisa Guerrero Unleashed podcast this week, detailing a period of significant tension on set that he felt left the cast and crew "miserable."

According to Baldwin, the initial weeks of filming were amicable, but this changed when Stone, 68, reportedly stopped acknowledging him for the remaining three months of production. The actor stated he became so uncomfortable that he approached producers, asking not to be required to kiss Stone in a sex scene.

"I can do the scene but just please don't make me kiss her. …I can't kiss her," Baldwin recalled telling producers.

He claimed that this request led to their characters' sex scene being filmed against a pillar rather than involving a kiss. "Sliver" follows Carly Norris, Stone's character, as she moves into an apartment building where female tenants have died. She begins an affair with the building's owner, Zeke Hawkins, played by Baldwin, but grows suspicious that he might be responsible for the deaths.

Baldwin also addressed a claim made by Stone in her 2021 memoir, "The Beauty of Living Twice." Stone alleged that producer Robert Evans suggested she have sex with Baldwin off-camera to alleviate on-set tension and improve their performances. Baldwin refuted this, telling Guerrero that Evans made the same suggestion to him, framing it as a way to resolve perceived pent-up sexual energy rather than an acting direction.

"Robert Evans wasn't saying that to her or me about our acting," Baldwin said. "He was saying, 'I keep getting reports that there's incredibly bad tension. We know what it's all about. All this pent-up sexual energy tension. Just do it and get it over with.'"

Despite the reported difficulties, Baldwin acknowledged Stone's strong screen presence, referencing her iconic role in "Basic Instinct." "Sharon Stone on screen, whether she's crossing and uncrossing her legs or not, Sharon Stone on screen has got awesome screen presence," he stated.

Baldwin expressed a desire to reconcile, saying he would "love to bury the hatchet" with Stone and extend a handshake or a hug.

This is not the first time the on-set dynamics have been publicly discussed. In 2024, Stone mentioned the drama on "The Louis Theroux Podcast," prompting Baldwin to threaten revealing more details about their collaboration. However, he asserted that his recent interview marked the first time he was discussing the specifics of their working relationship.

Baldwin also alleged that Stone told a friend, Janice Dickinson, that she intended to make him fall for her intensely. He further claimed to have heard through "hair and makeup people" that Stone had erected a shrine to him in her trailer, questioning its purpose, whether it was for good energy or "voodoo."
