Alison Hammond, 51, is planning a "celebration of love" with her boyfriend David Puttnam, 28, this summer. Hammond, known for her role on "Great British Bake Off," has been dating Puttnam, a Russian model and massage therapist, since 2023. She stated in an interview with Closer magazine that she does not feel the need for a formal marriage, saying, "I just don't think I need to get married. I've got my man and I'm settled."

Instead of a wedding, Hammond desires a large summer party. "I just want the big day, so I'm going to have a big summer party. I'd love a blessing and celebration of love," she explained. The event is planned to include a dress, music, food, and drinks.

Hammond's son, Aidan, 21, from her previous relationship with Noureddine Boufaied, will give her away at the celebration. Hammond playfully suggested that her "This Morning" co-star Dermot O'Leary could serve as a flower boy, dismissing his aspirations to give her away.

Regarding marriage traditions, Hammond expressed that if she were to marry, she would want her partner to take her surname. "If I marry someone, I want him to take my name. Why does it have to be the other way round? I don't want to be owned by anybody," she stated.

Hammond also addressed the 22-year age difference between her and Puttnam, asserting that it is a private matter. "Yeah, people are going to talk. People do. But that's their business, not mine," she said.

Her relationship with Puttnam began in 2023 when she booked a massage with him. They made their romance public in April 2024, and later made their red carpet debut together with Aidan in attendance.

When asked about her ideal date night, Hammond described a simple evening in bed watching "Love Island" with cherries and seaweed snacks, calling it a "night and a half" and enjoying foot massages from Puttnam.
