World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has announced that its Crown Jewel event will return to Saudi Arabia on November 7, with the show scheduled to be held at Riyadh Season Stadium in KAFD. This marks a continuation of the collaboration between WWE and the Saudi General Entertainment Authority.
Crown Jewel is one of WWE's distinctive premium live events. Historically, it features interbrand matches where the men's and women's champions from the Raw and SmackDown brands compete for the Crown Jewel Championship and Crown Jewel ring, respectively. While this year's specific matchups have not yet been confirmed, potential headline bouts could include a rematch between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, and a women's match featuring Liv Morgan against Chelsea Green.
WWE has been finalizing its premium live event calendar for 2026. Other events announced for the latter part of the year include Sunday Night's Main Event, Money in the Bank, Survivor Series: WarGames, and Wrestlepalooza: Perth. The event's location in Saudi Arabia marks the second time it has been held there, with previous iterations taking place in Riyadh in 2024 and Perth, Australia, last year.
Recent Crown Jewel events have seen significant championship matches. In 2024, Cody Rhodes defeated Gunther on the men's side, while Liv Morgan defeated Nia Jax. Last year, Seth Rollins beat Rhodes for the men's championship, and Stephanie Vaquer defeated Tiffany Stratton in the women's division.
Several storylines are currently developing that could influence the Crown Jewel card. CM Punk faces challenges from multiple SmackDown competitors, including Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton, putting his title at risk. Roman Reigns is set to defend his title against Penta in Mexico City and is also being pursued by LA Knight. On the women's side, Liv Morgan has faced criticism for not being a frequent defending champion but secured a victory over Iyo Sky at SummerSlam. She is being targeted by Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch, while Chelsea Green, who has been dealing with an injury, may need to face Nia Jax to advance her own championship aspirations.
