Edge rusher Von Miller, an eight-time Pro Bowler, is expected to sign with the Dallas Cowboys ahead of the 2026 NFL season, according to multiple reports. Miller, who played for the Washington Commanders last season, has spent his career in the NFC East.
Miller, a native of Texas who played collegiately at Texas A&M, has not made a Pro Bowl since 2019. He dealt with a torn ACL in 2023 while with the Buffalo Bills and recorded nine sacks last season with Washington. Earlier this month, Miller had posted on his Instagram Story a picture with a Bills hat and the caption “unfinished business,” hinting at a potential return to Buffalo. However, he had also previously posted a picture of himself in a Cowboys jersey in July and expressed a desire to play for Dallas.
"I grew up here in Dallas," Miller told SB Nation last month. "I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the Dallas Cowboys. If I played for the Dallas Cowboys this year, I [would] only have to drive 20 minutes to work."
The move would add significant defensive depth for the Cowboys as they prepare to face NFC East opponents, including the New York Giants, twice in the upcoming season, with one matchup in Week 1.
