The United States men's national team (USMNT) will face Turkey on Thursday night in their final group stage match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, having already clinched a spot in the knockout rounds. The Americans secured their advancement with a 2-0 victory over Australia on June 19, following an earlier dominant 4-1 win against Paraguay. Both wins have built momentum for the team as they return to Los Angeles Stadium.
Australia, who previously defeated Turkey, lost to the U.S. in their earlier match. Australia will play Paraguay in their final group game, with both teams having already been defeated by the United States. The USMNT also secured a 3-2 win against Senegal in a World Cup tuneup match late last month.
Under head coach Mauricio Pochettino, the USMNT entered the tournament ranked No. 17 in the FIFA World Rankings, which are determined by the Elo rating system that accounts for wins, losses, and the strength of opponents. This year's World Cup features an expanded format with 48 teams competing.
The match against Turkey is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET. It will be held at Los Angeles Stadium in Inglewood, California. The game will be broadcast on FOX and can be streamed on FOX One and FOX Sports.
