Tyson Fury is slated to return to the ring on July 24 in Thailand, facing 46-year-old Polish boxer Mariusz Wach. This bout is positioned as a final preparation fight ahead of Fury's long-anticipated heavyweight showdown with British rival Anthony Joshua.

The contest is scheduled to take place at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya and will be available globally via live stream on Netflix. This fight comes just one day before Joshua is expected to face Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia, with both British boxers anticipated to win their respective bouts without issue before their proposed major clash later this year.

The agreement for the Fury-Joshua fight was reached earlier in 2026, paving the way for what is expected to be one of the most significant boxing matches in British history. However, both fighters must first complete these tune-up matches.

Mariusz Wach brings significant experience to the fight, having challenged Wladimir Klitschko for the unified heavyweight world title in 2012. Wach went the full 12 rounds in that bout before suffering the first loss of his professional career. Wach's current record stands at 39 wins and 13 losses, with recent defeats against Dillian Whyte, Hughie Fury, and Frazer Clarke. In 2024, he was stopped in the second round by prospect Moses Itauma.

Fury has spent a considerable portion of his training camp in Thailand, making Pattaya a suitable venue for this fight. Following the bout, Fury is expected to travel to Jeddah to observe Joshua's match from ringside. Promotional activities for the Fury-Joshua fight are anticipated to begin in earnest after these preliminary contests.

This will be Fury's second fight since emerging from a 16-month retirement. His comeback fight in April resulted in a points victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, marking his first appearance on British soil in over three years.

Queensberry Promotions has announced that profits from ticket sales will be donated to local charities. Fury is also set to be presented with the inaugural WBC Humanitarian title.

"This is a landmark year for me in boxing and I’m excited to be able to bring this event to Pattaya, a part of the world that is special to me,” Fury stated. “We’re coming together to put on a great show for the fans, while using the opportunity to give back to the local community, who have been so good to me every time I have visited. At the same time, I’m fully focused on preparing for a tough opponent and making sure I’m the best version of Tyson Fury going into fight night. It’s the start of a huge second half of the year for me."
