Tyson Fury defeated Mariusz Wach by retirement on his stool at the start of the eighth round in a sparsely attended bout in Pattaya, Thailand. The fight, held in front of approximately 1,500 fans at the Max Muay Thai Stadium, was not broadcast live anywhere globally. It is slated to be featured in the upcoming third series of the Netflix reality show "At Home With The Furys." Maki g his 36th career victory, Fury, 37, dominated the fight against the 46-year-old Polish opponent. The match served as a tune-up for Fury, who is positioning himself for a potential high-profile fight against fellow Briton Anthony Joshua. Joshua is scheduled for his own comeback match against Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

"I went through my test tonight. Let's see if he can get through his," Fury stated following his victory. Many observers had anticipated Fury might travel to Jeddah for Joshua's fight, with speculation that the two boxers might announce their long-awaited showdown in the ring after Joshua's bout, should he win. However, Fury indicated his intention to return home to his family.

"I've got to face off with my wife. I've got to iron when I get home. I've been away for six out of the last seven months," Fury said. "I'm not going to Jeddah, I'm going home to my wife and kids. I'm going to regroup and hopefully we'll have a big fight signed next week."

Discussions about the location for the potential all-British heavyweight bout continue. While Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, has suggested the contract stipulates a UK venue, industry sources have indicated that a U.S. location might be considered. "We'll head wherever we're going to head," Fury commented on the potential fight venue. "Who knows? It could be in Vegas, New York, Ireland, London. Who knows where the fight's going to be?"
