Washington Spirit and U.S. Women's National Team soccer player Trinity Rodman showed her support for boyfriend Ben Shelton at the US Open on Wednesday, attending his match against Hubert Hurkacz. Rodman was seen wearing a black crop top with the message "I ❤️ my boyfriend" emblazoned on it.
This is not the first time Rodman has attended Shelton's matches. She also sported a multi-colored shirt during his first-round match on Monday. Rodman is making time to support Shelton even while her National Women's Soccer League season with the Spirit is underway. She had a week off from her season, with her most recent game on Sunday and her next scheduled for the same day as the men's US Open final.
Ben Shelton, ranked world No. 9, is considered a strong contender in the tournament. His path in the US Open is notable with Jannik Sinner absent due to injury and Carlos Alcaraz returning from a wrist ailment. Shelton faced a challenging match against Hurkacz on Arthur Ashe Stadium, with both players splitting the first two sets of the best-of-five-set match.
