Tom Brady continued his practice of displaying a high-end watch during his Fox NFL broadcasts by wearing an ultra-rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak to the Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions game on Sunday. The timepiece featured a 41mm rose gold case and integrated bracelet with a frosted finish, accented by a baguette-cut gemstone bezel in a rainbow pattern. Its openworked dial revealed the watch's movement. While Audemars Piguet does not officially list a price for this model, the secondary market indicates a value of $500,000 and above.
This is the latest in a series of expensive watches Brady has shown off this season. Last month, he wore a $68,000 platinum Rolex Land-Dweller with an ice-blue dial. Prior to that, he was seen with a Patek Philippe chronograph Reference 5070P-001, valued around $160,000 on the used market, and earlier in the season, a Rolex Daytona Cosmograph 'Orange Sapphire' estimated at $300,000. The rainbow Royal Oak appears to be the most valuable watch he has displayed publicly this year.
In a separate incident before the broadcast, Brady cursed live on air for the second consecutive week during a pre-game quiz segment with Drew Brees. After answering a question incorrectly, he exclaimed "Oh, s***." The show's host, Curt Menefee, along with analysts Michael Strahan and Brady himself, acknowledged the slip-up on live television.
