Tiger Woods made a rare public appearance in a pre-recorded video message for former professional golfer Notah Begay during the Payne Stewart Award ceremony Tuesday night. This marks one of the few sightings of the 15-time major champion since his DUI charge and arrest in March.

In the video, Woods reflected on his long-standing friendship with Begay, who he met at age 11. He praised Begay's off-course achievements, particularly his work supporting over 80,000 Native American youths and their families. Woods expressed admiration for Begay's efforts to uplift communities and help individuals achieve their potential.

The golf icon's appearance in the video, however, drew immediate reactions from fans on social media. Many users expressed concern over Woods' appearance, with comments noting he looked like a "shell of his former self" and "different for sure." Others speculated about his well-being, with some suggesting he might be off "steroids and painkillers."

Woods was arrested for driving under the influence in South Florida in March after a single-vehicle rollover crash. During the arrest, officers reportedly found two opioid tablets in his pocket, and footage of the arrest went viral. Following the incident, Woods entered a rehabilitation facility in Switzerland in April and returned to the U.S. in May, maintaining a low public profile since his return.

Woods' legal proceedings in connection with the crash have seen multiple postponements. His first court appearance is currently scheduled for September 8, approximately five months after the initial incident, as prosecutors continue their investigation.
