Keira McManus, a 16-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent, has achieved a historic milestone in the world of CrossFit, becoming the first female athlete to win three consecutive world championships in the teenage division. Her latest victory came at the 2026 CrossFit Games in California, where she secured the title in the 16-17 age category, triumphing over 19 other competitors. This win marks her third consecutive championship, having previously won the 14-15 age category twice.

CrossFit is a demanding discipline that integrates elements of weightlifting, gymnastics, and endurance exercises. Athletes compete in a series of scored events, with the annual CrossFit Games culminating in the crowning of the "fittest on earth." McManus expressed pride in her accomplishment, noting the significant training involved and a demanding competitive year. "To end the season with a win, it's just incredible and I'm really happy with it," she stated.

Her success in the sport is partly attributed to growing up in a fitness-oriented environment. McManus's family owns Combat Fitness Stoke, a gym where she was exposed to training from a young age. Her father, Joel, and mother, Lisa, own and operate the family business.
