New York Giants fans exhibit the most frequent use of profanity among all National Football League fanbases, according to an analysis by ActionNetwork.com. The study also found that New York Jets fans are the most negative, with a high percentage of complaining comments.

The analysis, which reviewed 2.5 million comments from the subreddits of all 32 NFL teams between August 2025 and September 2026, indicated that 14.98% of comments from Giants fans contained swear words. This places the Giants fanbase at the top of the list for foul language.

Jets fans, meanwhile, ranked second in negativity, with 25.76% of their comments deemed negative. This finding comes as the team faces its longest playoff drought in professional sports, spanning 15 years. The study's data showed the Indianapolis Colts fanbase had the highest percentage of negative comments at 26.32%.

The Cincinnati Bengals fanbase followed closely behind the Jets in negativity, with 25.63% of their comments being negative.

Fan comments cited in the study reflect the sentiment, with one Giants fan expressing a pessimistic outlook: "I feel like we’d win 40-0, get blown the f—k out Week 2, and feel course corrected." Another Giants supporter wrote, "But nah f–k it, we’re winning week 1 too! . . . F—k the Cowboys!"

Jets fans also voiced their frustrations. Ahead of their Week 1 game against the Tennessee Titans, one fan commented, "We’re gonna lose [to] the Titans and then have to deal with a week of insufferable" commentary about former coach Robert Saleh. Some fans even expressed a desire for continued losses to secure a high draft pick, with one stating, "I’d still rather the team go 0-17, lock up the #1 pick, get their franchise QB and be done with it."

In contrast to the reported behavior of Giants and Jets fans, Buffalo Bills fans were identified as the most polite, with only 10.7% of their comments containing swear words.
