Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr added to the ongoing speculation surrounding LeBron James's free agency with a brief response to a fan.

In a video that circulated on social media Wednesday, a fan can be heard telling Kerr that the Warriors "needed to sign LeBron James." Kerr replied, "We got him."

The coach's comment came just hours after Warriors star Stephen Curry directly addressed James's free agency during an appearance on "Good Morning America," making a public pitch to the veteran player.

Kerr's statement has since sparked further discussion among NBA fans about the Warriors' potential pursuit of James. This comes at a time when ESPN insider Shams Charania reported that James's list of suitors had narrowed to the Cavaliers, Heat, and 76ers. Other reports suggested James was leaning towards an Eastern Conference team, positioning the Warriors as less likely contenders.

Speculation about the Warriors' chances had gained some traction, partly due to the visible chemistry between Curry and James during the Paris Olympics, where they played together on a gold medal-winning Team USA squad. It was also during this period that James reportedly became more familiar with Kerr's coaching style.

However, the prospect of Curry and James reuniting on the court appears increasingly slim. While a return to the Cavaliers might be seen as a logical move for James to tie up loose ends in his career legacy, Kerr's recent remarks have kept the possibility of a Warriors move alive for some fans.
