Sky Sports will not continue broadcasting the Baller League from next season, as the broadcaster and the celebrity-backed football competition have decided not to renew their contract.

The partnership has reportedly come to a "natural end," according to The Guardian, with Sky Sports expressing satisfaction with viewing figures and social media engagement.

The Baller League, which features 12 teams with rolling substitutions, was first launched in Germany in 2024, inspired by Spain's Kings League. Its UK debut took place in 2025. The competition is supported by notable figures including KSI, Gary Lineker, and Ian Wright.

Last season's final, won by KSI's Prime FC, sold out the O2 Arena in London. The league's format sees each team play every other team once in back-to-back matches on Monday nights, with the top four teams advancing to semi-finals.

Baller League's chief executive, Felix Starck, indicated to The Guardian that the organization was not seeking to extend its agreement with Sky Sports and is instead focused on making its shows free-to-air. While talks with Sky's parent company, Comcast, are reported to have occurred, the league is now concentrating on expanding its presence on YouTube.

Teams in the league are typically composed of former professional footballers or players without a club, and have been managed by individuals such as Chloe Kelly and Angry Ginge.
