Scottie Scheffler secured his second FedEx Cup title on Sunday, rallying with a final-round 4-under 66 to win the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club. The victory also propelled him past Tiger Woods to become the PGA Tour's all-time career earnings leader.

Scheffler's win marks his third title of the year and second in the last three weeks during the PGA Tour's postseason. This season's performance matches the four-win count of Chris Gotterup, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Wyndham Clark. He previously won the FedEx Cup two years ago.

In addition to the FedEx Cup, Scheffler claimed the $10 million purse from the Tour Championship, pushing his career earnings to $130,390,661. This figure now places him ahead of Tiger Woods, who had held the top spot on the career money list for nearly 26 years. The $40 million purse at the Tour Championship was counted as official money.

Scheffler's rally included a pivotal moment on the second hole, where he hit a 5-iron to within two inches of the cup. He later birdied the fourth hole to catch Viktor Hovland and took the lead for the first time on the 13th hole, maintaining it through the remainder of the round.

This victory offers a measure of redemption for Scheffler, who experienced several close calls during the season, including a playoff loss to Hovland at the Travelers Championship, one of his five runner-up finishes in 2026. Players vote for the Jack Nicklaus Award for PGA Tour player of the year, an award Scheffler has won for the last four years, a streak that would tie him with Woods if he secures it again.
