Scottie Scheffler clinched his second FedEx Cup title on Sunday, holding off challengers at the season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta. The world number one, who began the final round three strokes behind leader Viktor Hovland, carded a four-under-par 66 to secure his 22nd career victory on the PGA Tour.

Mana of his rivals faltered in the final pairings, with Scheffler's consistent play proving decisive. His round was the only one to break par on the final day. Scheffler's reward for this victory is $10 million.

Scheffler joins Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy as multiple winners of the Tour Championship. Hovland, who had led for much of the tournament, struggled with his driving and putting on Sunday, finishing three strokes behind Scheffler with a two-over-par 72. American debutant Ryan Gerard finished third, one stroke behind Hovland.

Rory McIlroy was unable to maintain his Saturday momentum, posting a round of 69 with an even-par finish. Among other notable performances, Justin Rose achieved a hole-in-one on the ninth, though it did not translate into a significant boost in his overall standing. Alex Fitzpatrick matched Scheffler's 66, the lowest round of the day, to tie with McIlroy at 11 under par for the tournament.
