Scottie Scheffler, the world's top-ranked golfer, is poised to miss the cut at the Genesis Scottish Open, which would end his streak of 78 consecutive events making the cut. This streak is the longest active one on tour. Scheffler stands at even par after two rounds, while the projected cut line is 2-under par, according to ESPN.

The last time Scheffler missed a cut was in August 2022 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. His streak of 78 cuts is significantly longer than the next-highest active streak of 27 by Matt Fitzpatrick. However, Scheffler's streak falls short of the all-time record of 125 consecutive cuts held by Tiger Woods, which spanned from February 1998 to May 2025.

"Got off to a poor start and after that, I didn’t really it close enough to give myself a bunch of looks," Scheffler stated, according to the Associated Press. "That’s how you shoot over par."
