WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia is set to face British challenger Conor Benn in Las Vegas. The bout will mark Benn's return to the welterweight division for the first time since April 2022.
Garcia, 28, is making the first defense of his belt, which he won by decision against Mario Barrios in February. He holds a professional record of 25 wins in 28 fights, with 20 victories by knockout, and has two losses and one no-contest.
Benn, 29, is aiming for a career-defining moment in his 10-year professional journey. With 25 wins in 26 professional fights, a victory over Garcia would see him emulate his father, Nigel Benn, by claiming a WBC title.
The fight is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena. Live text commentary will be available on the BBC Sport website and app starting Sunday, September 13, at 03:00 BST. Boxing world figures have offered their predictions for the upcoming championship bout.
