Durham maintained their undefeated streak in the One-Day Cup with a three-wicket victory over Glamorgan, propelled by Will Rhodes' career-best 148 not out. The win came on a day that also saw victories for Yorkshire and Sussex.
Glamorgan posted a competitive 326-6, with Eddie Byrom scoring 76, Zain ul Hassan 65, and Callum Nicholls and Dan Douthwaite both contributing 45. Douthwaite also made an impact with the ball, taking two wickets in two balls early in Durham's chase, including that of star player Ben Stokes, who was dismissed for a single run. Stokes had previously recorded unbeaten scores of 108 and 73 in the competition.
Despite the early setback of losing Stokes, Rhodes anchored the Durham innings. He combined with Kasey Aldridge, who scored 145 for the partnership, to lift Durham from 97-6 to 242-7. Rhodes, who also took two wickets for 31 runs with the ball, saw the team home with the help of James Minto, who added 30, securing the win with three balls to spare.
With this victory, Durham moves to third place in Group B, level on points with Yorkshire and Middlesex. In another match, Yorkshire defeated Worcestershire Rapids by six wickets. Yorkshire's Will Luxton scored his second consecutive century, a career-best 126, as his team successfully chased Worcestershire's total of 230. Worcestershire's efforts were hampered by a lack of significant contributions from the rest of their batting lineup, despite half-centuries from Dan Lategan, Henry Cullen, and Matt Waite. Luxton leads the competition in runs scored with 331.
