The Baltimore Ravens have signed former Cleveland Browns center Ethan Pocic to a one-year contract, a move aimed at strengthening their offensive line for the upcoming season. The deal has a maximum value of $4.5 million, according to reports.

Pocic joins the Ravens with an opportunity to compete for the starting center position, a role that opened after Tyler Linderbaum signed with the Raiders in March. Pocic is considered the most experienced player among a group of potential contenders that also includes Danny Pinter, Jovaughn Gwyn, and Corey Bullock. He enters his 10th NFL season as the most proven option.

The 30-year-old Pocic spent the last four seasons with the Browns, starting 57 games since joining the team before the 2022 season. In the previous season, he played in 13 games before suffering a season-ending Achilles tear in Week 13. Despite the injury, Pocic has been medically cleared and is expected to be a full participant in training camp.

The Ravens are navigating a period of transition under new head coach Jesse Minter, looking to rebound from an 8-9 record in the 2025 season. In addition to the offensive line additions, General Manager Eric DeCosta expressed his desire to finalize an contract extension for two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers. DeCosta stated his optimism about reaching an agreement, emphasizing Flowers' importance to the team's success and his infectious energy.
