The Baltimore Ravens have lost backup quarterback Tyler Huntley for the remainder of the season due to a severe turf toe injury. Huntley sustained the injury in the second quarter of the Ravens' recent game against the Buffalo Bills, which they lost 35-6. He did not return to the game following the injury.

ESPN reported that Huntley is expected to be placed on injured reserve. His absence leaves the Ravens in a precarious situation at the quarterback position. Starting quarterback Lamar Jackson was already sidelined.

Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano, who played college football at UConn, stepped in for Huntley. Fagnano completed 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards, with one interception and no touchdowns in the game. He also sustained an injury during the contest and did not practice on Tuesday.

Despite his own injury, Fagnano is slated to start for the Ravens in their upcoming Thursday game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The team signed Kaden Slovis, most recently from the Green Bay Packers' practice squad, to serve as the backup. Austin Reed has also been signed to the practice squad as an emergency option.

With both Jackson and Huntley unavailable, and no immediate return date for Jackson, the Ravens may explore trading for a quarterback before the upcoming deadline.
