The Baltimore Ravens are in a dire quarterback situation following injuries to both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley during their recent 36-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Jackson exited the game on the very first play, while Huntley sustained a toe injury, later identified as turf toe, after a limited number of snaps.
Huntley is scheduled for an MRI on Monday to assess the severity of his injury and determine his availability for upcoming games. He completed only two of four passes and was sacked before leaving the field.
With Jackson likely out for the season as he requires surgery for an injured thumb and Huntley facing a potential absence, the Ravens' depth at quarterback has been severely tested. Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano entered the game in their stead, completing 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards and throwing one interception.
The Ravens, now holding a 4-4 record, face a quick turnaround with a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fagnano expressed confidence in his ability to play on Thursday, despite the team's overall uncertainty. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter stated that the team would assess Huntley's status and Fagnano's condition over the next 24 hours to formulate a plan.
