The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to a trade for quarterback Jacoby Brissett, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The move aims to bolster the Ravens' depth at the position amidst long-term injuries to starting quarterback Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley.

With third-choice undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano expected to start Thursday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Ravens' general manager Eric DaCosta pursued a more experienced option. Brissett is expected to be finalized as a Baltimore player over the weekend and will be available for the Week 10 Monday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Brissett was benched mid-game for the Arizona Cardinals during their loss to the Dallas Cowboys and subsequently dropped to third on the depth chart. He had started the first eight games of the season for Arizona, completing 63.3% of his passes and contributing to a 3-5 record. Following his benching, Gardner Minshew took over as the starter, with Carson Beck as the backup.

This marks Brissett's seventh NFL team. The West Palm Beach native is in his 11th season in the league. He was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, winning a Super Bowl as Tom Brady's backup in his rookie year. He has since played for the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, Washington Commanders, and the Cardinals.

Brissett signed a two-year, $12.5 million contract with the Cardinals in March 2025. He played in 14 games last season and is under contract for the remainder of the 2026 season, after which he will become an unrestricted free agent unless he agrees to new terms with Baltimore.
