Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is currently under review by the NFL for an offseason incident, and the league has not ruled out disciplinary action, according to reports. Nacua was not among the three players placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List over the weekend, but his situation is still being investigated as part of the league's ongoing Personal Conduct Policy review.
Nacua is one of several NFL employees whose off-field issues are being examined by the league. Others facing scrutiny include San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman, and Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson. All individuals are subject to potential reprimands under the conduct policy, regardless of whether they are placed on the exempt list.
The NFL has no set deadline for concluding these investigations, meaning discipline could be issued even after the regular season begins. In 2024, for example, Von Miller of the Buffalo Bills faced a suspension announced in October after he had already played multiple games.
York's review stems from an arrest related to a prostitution sting in August 2026. Bateman and Jackson were arrested in June on charges involving allegations of battery. Nacua, meanwhile, is the defendant in a civil lawsuit filed by Madison Atiabi, who alleges he bit her shoulder during a New Year's Eve 2025 party. Nacua's attorney has denied the allegations, characterizing the incident as "horseplay," and no criminal charges have been filed. A civil trial in the case has been scheduled for March 27, 2028.
The NFL has not made a public statement beyond confirming that Nacua's case remains under review. While Nacua is currently expected to be available for the Rams' Week 1 opener on September 10 against the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, this status could change.
Nacua's ongoing situation has drawn attention from fantasy football managers due to his significant role as an offensive playmaker for the Rams.
