Several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Newcastle, are reportedly closing in on Monaco's record for total transfer income generated within a single transfer window.

Milan City has already achieved a significant sales total, generating 278.5 million euros. This figure includes sales of players such as Savio, Tijjani Reijnders, Rodri, James Trafford, Manuel Akanji, and Nathan Aké. The recent signing of Ayyoub Bouaddi for 273.7 million euros leaves the club with a positive transfer balance of 4.8 million euros.

Further player departures could still alter the club's financial picture. Tottenham has agreed to a loan deal for Omar Marmoush, with an obligation to make the move permanent for 58 million euros next summer. This substantial fee would contribute to City's 2027-28 transfer income rather than the current season's figures.

Additional sales are anticipated, with Nico Gonzalez expected to leave and Jack Grealish's future also uncertain. Everton has expressed interest in Grealish, who spent the previous season on loan with them. However, Grealish may view Enzo Maresca's appointment as manager as an opportunity for a fresh start at City, where his contract extends until June 2027. The potential permanent sales of Gonzalez and possibly Grealish could significantly increase City's income in the 2026-27 season.

The club's capacity for high-value sales is notable, especially considering the extensive midfield rebuild underway. Manchester City has already secured Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for 135 million euros and reportedly maintains interest in Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
