WNBA stars Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd have revealed that they have broken up and were not dating when Fudd joined Bueckers on the Dallas Wings earlier this year. The announcement was made on Fudd's podcast.

'Paige and I have something that we want to share with everyone. We are no longer together,' Fudd said on the podcast, as reported by the Daily Mail. Bueckers added, 'We're not together anymore. It's been, for everybody wondering, like over a year.'

Bueckers emphasized that their breakup occurred before Fudd was drafted, addressing speculation about their dynamic as teammates. 'We were not together before she got drafted so all of those narratives can go to bed,' Bueckers stated. 'We're still friends, we're still cool. We played an entire season together.'

The pair, who played together at UConn from 2021 to 2025 and publicly confirmed their relationship in 2025, were teammates on the Dallas Wings after Fudd was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the recent WNBA Draft. Bueckers was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft.

During the draft and at subsequent press conferences, both players had previously deflected questions about their personal relationship, opting to focus on basketball. In April, Bueckers addressed the situation, stating, 'Me and Azzi's personal relationship is nobody's business but our own.' She added that they had always maintained professionalism on and off the court.

'Azzi Fudd was the number one draft pick because she earned it, and it had nothing to do with me and everything to do with who she is as a human being, who she is as a basketball player,' Bueckers also said at the time, defending Fudd's accolades. 'She should be celebrated as such.'

Bueckers and Fudd were key contributors to UConn's 2025 national championship team. The Dallas Wings finished the recent season with a 27-17 record before being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
