The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Texas Longhorns are set to meet in a significant college football game on Saturday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. EST. The game will be held at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas.

Both teams enter the contest with 1-0 records. Ohio State secured a dominant 53-6 victory over Ball State on September 5. Texas also had a strong showing, defeating the Texas State Bobcats 59-7 in their recent game.

Ohio State's head coach, Ryan Day, expressed respect for the Longhorns' talent. "They have, you know, really good talent across the board," Day stated at a recent press conference. "So going down there is something that we’ve obviously been working towards all summer and looking forward to. They have a great program and a great team, so it’s going to be a great environment."

Last season, the matchup between Texas and Ohio State in 2025 was the second most-watched regular-season college football game, drawing 16.6 million viewers.

Fans can watch the game via a live TV streaming service. Sling TV is offering access to ABC, with plans starting at $19.99 per month for the Select plan. An upgrade to the Blue plan for $45.99 per month includes ABC and additional channels.
