During a recent Giants training camp practice at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. demonstrated a flash of his former Pro Bowl self. He made a leaping catch in the back of the end zone, successfully tapping his toes in bounds before sliding to the ground for a touchdown. The play drew cheers from the stands and prompted a celebration from teammates.
Quarterback Jaxson Dart faced difficulties during the practice, throwing two interceptions. One pass was tipped by linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and caught by cornerback Paulson Adebo, while another interception was also credited to Adebo. Dart completed 6 of his first 15 passes before a subsequent situational drill saw him connect on 8 of 9 attempts while facing an 11-point deficit. Quarterback Jameis Winston also threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown by Colton Hood, though the play was negated by a pre-snap penalty. Dart also fumbled a snap during the session.
Among the observers at the practice was former Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni. D'Antoni, a native of West Virginia who played at Marshall University, was seen speaking with head coach John Harbaugh, general manager Joe Schoen, and owner John Mara after the practice concluded.
On the injury front, wide receiver Malik Nabers returned to individual drills after a scheduled day off on Friday. Running back Cam Skattebo, Beckham, and tight end Isaiah Likely took brief breaks during practice to manage minor issues but all returned to the field. Cornerback Art Green and tight end Tanner Connor were back participating in practice after recovering from previous injuries.
