St. George Illawarra's disastrous season has put them on a path to potentially being branded the worst team in the 118-year history of Australian rugby league, according to footy great Luke Keary.

The Dragons have registered just one win and a -235 points differential across 15 games, leaving them at the bottom of the National Rugby League (NRL) table.

"We're on worst team of all time watch here," Keary, a former Sydney Rooster and Fox Sports analyst, stated. He referenced the 2016 Newcastle Knights, who finished with one win and one draw, as a benchmark to watch for the remainder of the season.

Last Sunday, the Dragons let a 10-6 half-time lead slip against the Canberra Raiders, a familiar pattern for the team. Despite creating opportunities, including 40 tackles in the Raiders' red zone, they failed to convert them into points. The team's execution was further hampered by a 75 percent completion rate, eight errors, and 11 missed tackles.

St. George Illawarra's sole victory this season came against the struggling Brisbane Broncos. Their upcoming schedule presents significant challenges, including matches against the Wests Tigers and the top-ranked New Zealand Warriors, before facing the Gold Coast Titans, who have secured only four wins this year.

Dragons coach Dean Young expressed frustration over the loss, attributing it to a lack of execution in key moments. "Our execution today wasn't where it needed to be. I thought we left 18 points out there and gifted them 12," Young said. He also voiced disappointment regarding several officiating decisions.
