Nottingham Forest is actively seeking to bolster its midfield and has entered into discussions with Everton regarding a £40 million move for 19-year-old Harrison Armstrong. Armstrong, a homegrown talent, featured in Everton's recent match against Crystal Palace.
Everton's ownership, the Friedkin Group, faces potential fan disapproval if they were to sanction the sale of Armstrong and Iliman Ndiaye, who has also attracted interest from Manchester City, so close to the transfer deadline without securing significant new signings. Forest is also exploring a loan-to-buy option for Tottenham's Pape Matar Sarr, who has also drawn interest from Monaco. Additionally, the club continues negotiations with Corinthians for the transfer of 20-year-old Brazilian midfielder Andre.
Nottingham Forest is also reportedly nearing an agreement with Crystal Palace for Daniel Munoz, following a £22 million bid earlier in the week, with negotiations in their final stages. Forest is preparing to face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, with new signing Liam Delap available and summer acquisition Xaver Schlager expected to replace Ibrahim Sangare, who has sustained an injury.
Speaking on Friday, Forest manager Oliver Glasner indicated the club's intent to sign two more players, stating that deals were close to completion but emphasizing the immediate priority of the Liverpool match. He added that there would be three more days to finalize any transfers after the upcoming game.
