Nottingham Forest is reportedly close to finalizing a transfer agreement for Sporting Lisbon defender Ousmane Diomande. The 22-year-old Ivorian international has emerged as a key target for new Forest manager Oliver Glasner, and negotiations between the clubs have reportedly progressed significantly in recent days.
Sources indicate that while a final agreement is still pending, discussions are in an advanced stage, suggesting a deal is imminent. Diomande possesses a release clause of approximately £68.2 million, but Nottingham Forest aims to secure his signature for a lower fee. Glasner, who previously attempted to sign Diomande for Crystal Palace, is a known admirer of the central defender.
Diomande has accumulated over 150 senior appearances for club and country, including 15 caps for the Ivory Coast national team.
